I Had the upmost pleasure of stopping by the Blue Mountain Brewary in Afton, Virginia after a really difficult day. We had a large group, and it was packed so we expected to wait a while to be seated. Luckily, on our way to the bar we were notified that our table was ready. We opted for some appetizers, the nachos and crab dip were superb, but our eyes were set on the beer flight. I am a creature of habit and will usually stick to what I know and like, but with 10 different samples all ranging from light to dark, and hoppy to sweet, how could I resist. The service was great, and hey get extra point for naming one of the beers “A Hopwork Orange”. Outside you’ll find the beautiful scenic mountains, as well as cozy fire pits and cornhole. I will definitely be back.
They wouldn’t all fit in one photo, and panorama simply wouldn’t do them justice. Eighteen of them, and five or take a few more near our boathouse. Definitely worth almost being late to work.

Mid-blizzard, the gorgeous red feathers stood out amongst the blankets of snow.
